The Media CART (Curriculum Applications Requiring Technology) offers you a way of creating highly motivating video and other media projects that will help you find new ways of supporting standards, without adding thousands of dollars to your school's budget. Using the Apple iLife suite of digital media applications, your students can create meaningful video projects for history days, special school events, assignments integrating language arts and social studies, math and other content standards. No prior knowledge of Apple or iLife applications is necessary.

Participating teachers will bring a group of student leaders who will build videography and editing skills, plan projects and discuss the possibilities for their projects, along with their instructors. After the Monday training and planning sessions, Teachers may take cameras and computer equipment to their school sites, returning at the follow-up Friday session to finish edit and "polish" their project. MediaCart2: > This is a good opportunity for schools with limited access to video equipment, or for teachers who simply want to broaden their student's learning horizons. Projects will be showcased at our student video festival in May. Outstanding projects will be submitted to the CUE Student Showcase, which selects projects to be displayed at their Palm Springs conference.
