Feb. 5, 2009 Feb. 12, 2009 Feb. 19, 2009 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM | 3 Day SmartBoard: Teaching Math and Science Grades 7-12 | The focus is on math and science curriculum using adopted texts and
your SmartBoard. Explore lessons, student motivation, classroom
management and creative teaching that will keep you on pace with
curriculum. The focus is on Holt curriculum, but anyone who needs
SmartBoard training is welcome to attend. The workshop will include
hands-on experience and creative standards-based lessons. There is a $50.00 fee for this class. | 9-12 Teachers | ||||||
January 27, 2009 February 10, 2009 February 17, 2008 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM | 3 Day Event Hands-on Teaching with your SmartBoard Grades K-6 | Focus on lessons using Houghton-Mifflin texts. Integrate your classroom SmartBoard with standards-based lessons that will help keep you in step with required pacing. Lessons, activities and other resources. Get hands-on training on a SmartBoard. | Wednesdays January 14, 2009- March 18, 2009 4:00 P.M -7:00 P.M. | Bakersfield | Develop your Level Two Personal Portfolio in ten sessions of this hands-on course. This workshop is held at the Learning Center in Bakersfield. There is a $100 fee in advance, $125 at the door. You will need to collect student work samples for this portfolio. | Level I Certified | ||||||
| Tuesdays Feb. 3, 2009-April 14, 2009 5:00 - 8:00 P.M | Ridgecrest | Develop your Level Two Personal Portfolio in ten sessions
of this hands-on course. This workshop is held at the Las Flores Computer Lab
in Ridgecrest. There is a $100 fee in advance, $125 at the door. You will need to collect student work samples for this portfolio. SSUSD will pay the $100 registration fee directly to CTAP for St Anns, Adventist Christian and Immanuel Christian participants (as part of their participation in Title IID) and will pay the fee for any SSUSD participants who are NOT applying for units and salary advancement. Media CART Registration | The
Media CART program gives students and teachers access to digital video
editing by offering standards-based projects, training, and the
equipment to make it happen. The program is ideal for teachers who
would like to use video to help their students create projects that
support standards in Language Arts, Social Studies and almost any other
academic area. Participants will be able to check out a camera and
laptop to take to their school site. | Everyone |
